Small Animal Echocardiography Core Lab

We utilise our purpose-built software, neural networks and expert readers to analyse echocardiograms with the highest reproducibility and scientific accuracy.

We do not believe in repurposing tools built for reporting human echocardiograms. Instead, we develop, validate and publish our own work, tested on thousands of clinical canine and feline echocardiograms, before integrating them into our core lab work.

Every member of our expert team - exclusively veterinary cardiologists and research echocardiographers - has individually analysed thousands of canine and feline echocardiograms.

What makes your software different?

Our neural networks have been trained specifically on canine and feline echocardiograms; we continually validated the performance of every new AI that we train, and publish our results.

Most protocols stipulate the need for multiple acquisitions, of typically 3-6 cardiac cycles. However, during the data analysis phase, in the interests of time and economics, the scientist will typically only perform measurements on ~3 frames or traces. With the assistance of our expertly trained neural networks, we can perform 10x the number of measurements than the current gold standard, dramatically narrowing the confidence intervals of every measurement. We keep the expert human-in-the-loop to review and sense-check every measurement.

The Veterinary Echocardiography Core Lab
Expertise
We combine human expertise and purpose-built AI technology to deliver unparalleled accuracy, measurement standardisation and quality assurance.
Quality assurance
We can advise on echocardiography protocol design, and assist in echocardiographer training.
Uncover results more quickly
Greater standardisation and less measurement 'noise' means you can observe drug or treatment effects more quickly and with fewer participants, making trials more cost-effective.
